Statistics are per end of May 2022.

1) Average age of all buyers 38.

2) Average age if 1st time buyers

37.

3) 90% of buyers were 1st time

buyers.

4) Only 27% of approved bonds

were taken up with own bank.

5) Average purchase price

R1 048 000

These are national averages and the highest prices are recorded in the Western Cape.

The Western cape also had the highest rental growth YOY as well as for the first 1/4 of 2022.
